New All Yew with Cordell Miller

Over the last couple weeks we've been filming with standout Orange County surfer/shaper Cordell Miller. He's been designing and ripping on high performance surfboards since he was a grom and has made a living through these passions for the past 18 years. Check out his new episode on our All Yew series where he surfs Lowers on a 6'2", 18 3/4", 2 5/8" of his own design.

Wax On, Wax Off

We've got two new shows at Korduroy. Wax On is a how-to on making your own organic surf wax from scratch. The formula we give in the video is for 66-72 degree water. You can experiment with the ratio of the ingredients for optimum consistency. The Wax Off, pantyhose wax remover will remove anything from oils, to not yet hardened glues. It was inspired by the Pickle Wax remover and works just as well if not better.

Korduroy At Sacred Craft

Ryan Burch is shaping a fish at 10:30am on Sunday and Cyrus Sutton is shaping a handplane after at 12:30. We will also be hangin out at friend's booths. If you see us, say hi!

Mike McCarthy Musician

In our new All Yew "Sewer Log," korduroy.tv  hombre Mike McCarthy lend his song "pink" from his forthcoming album in which he wrote and recorded 10 songs in 10 days about 10 different colors. Reminds us of the film "The Five Obstuctions." An interview with Mike will be on Korduroy in the not too distant future...

Wave Cloud Sand Film Short New on Korduroy.tv

A new edition to Korduroy.tv's "Sea Movies," WAVE CLOUD SAND is a beautiful short film captured on the east coast of Australia.

Circulate Director- "I wanted to make a short piece that paid tribute to the elements and allowed the viewer a chance to use their imagination a bit.  Each clip is meant to represent a photo or a single moment in time, sort of like a photo album in motion."

GRAIN SURFBOARDS

photo Ryan Tatar

Our friends at Grain Surfboards have written something about the Korduroy trip to Maine on their site. These guys make beautiful wooden boards, from logs and fishes, to a new collab with Channel Islands. They also conduct classes and sell kits on building your own fine hand shaped wooden surfboard... which is what we're all about at Korduroy TV.

We got to sit in and film abit with them during one of their classes. There couldn't be a more soulful setting then their centuries old farm outside of York, Maine. Check out the article here.

Meet Luke

Luke Taaffe is an incredibly talented and generous man. An artist/designer/surfer from NSW, Australia, he designed the Korduroy.tv pyramid which is a socio/political statement about turning our ever strengthening class system into a paradise. He also contributed illustrated elements to our animation within the korduroy.tv preview video.

We had the opportunity to check out Luke's work in Maine and it was truly inspired. He uses many found objects from old skateboards to vintage suitcases as his canvases. His work has been featured in galleries around the world and can be purchased through his website at Euphoria Graphics or at Retrospect Galleries in Byron Bay where his work is permanently displayed. Keep your eyes peeled for a future interview with Luke in the Korduroy Kollective.

Eef's Sketches

An avid surfer from from the Netherlands, Eef makes paipos and handplanes when not working and enjoying time with his wife and two little daughters. Inspired by Korduroy.tv he drew a sketch while commuting on a Dutch train. Thanks Eef!
