Our buddy Derek Dunfee, winner of the 2009 XXL Award at Mavericks for Biggest Paddle In Wave, has taken to riding alaias lately. In the photos below he's riding a Jon Wegener shape at Zicatela Beach in Puerto Escondido.
KORDUROY.TV / PATAGONIA EVENT
Last weekend we held an event with Patagonia Cardiff and Jon Wegener. Jon Wegener held classes on how to make and shape your own Alaia with surfer and Korduroy kingpin Cyrus Sutton. Cyrus also put out a limited release of his new film "Tom's Creation Plantation" with hand made packaging. The film is 1/2 alaia shaping tutorial and half surf movie.
